Hi, I’m Lake Norman, Mike, and this is my beautiful bride and business partner, Erin.

Thank you.

You’re welcome. I know you’re probably asking yourself; how did this guy get this girl? I know I ask myself that every day. I think it might have been the glasses. No, in all seriousness, we both work for Southern Homes of the Carolinas here in the beautiful Lake Norman area. Together, we bring almost three decades of experience and have closed in excess of 2000 real estate transactions since our career began.

And actually, it’s more than three decades, because you have twenty-three years and I have 11.

My wife has the greatest memory.

Well, so do you if you could just remember where he left his car keys.

You got me there. I think the thing that makes Erin and I unique is that we both bring something different to the table. For me, real estate has always been about the numbers and my client’s bottom line. The real estate market is constantly changing, and we believe in bringing the latest technology and cutting-edge tools so that our clients can make the most informed decision when buying or selling real estate. If you think about it, in my 23-year career, when I first got started, I was excited about a dot matrix printer and those old Motorola flip phones with the big antenna on the side, if you remember that. Fast forward to today, and we’ve got a market where drones are flying over and taking aerial pictures of properties as a market. So, if you think about it, you really just can’t put a sign in the front yard if your goal is to generate top dollar for your sale, a sign in the yard, a fancy flower just doesn’t cut it anymore.

And for me, real estate is more about people than it is about a structure or piece of land. It’s about the families and the memories they’re going to be making while they’re turning a house into their home. I take the time to listen to my client’s individual needs and goals. I know this can be a stressful process and often emotional, and I want to make sure that everyone has the support they need along the way. My goal is to make this process as smooth and as pleasant as possible.

And there’s one more thing I want to cover with you, and that’s our guarantee program. When you go out and list a home, an agent is typically going to ask you to sign a six-month agreement. We believe that to be a little different. If we’re going to make a promise to market your property and do specific things for you, we want to give you the right that if you’re not satisfied at any time that you can cancel the agreement, you don’t have to call. All you have to do is drop an email. And then the interesting thing about it is we’re so confident what we do that we will actually give you the marketing components of everything that we’ve done should you decide to choose another agent or leave with us and list with someone else.

In closing, Erin, and I want you to feel confident that you can reach out to us without feeling any pressure whatsoever. It is our hope that in the end, you will consider us to assist you with the sale of your property or purchase of your property in and around the Lake Norman area.

Behind The Scenes

Put me in front of a few hundred people to give a presentation and I have no problem, stick me in front of one over-sized camera lens and I lose my mind.  I still remember rolling into the studio at 9 am, confident as could be with scripts memorized!  Joking with Erin about how we would be out of there within an hour, tops.

As soon as I heard the word “Action,” I became frozen in time.  A complete loss for words – That camera, it just kept staring at me!  OK, this is no lie – we did not get out of there until around noon, which means it took us a little over three hours to shoot a 3-minute video!  Now I have to say this about my bride, she gave me a lot of grief while I was trying to ‘look natural’.  But rest assured, when it came time for her to “speak to the lens” she did the same exact thing, even though she had a much smaller part!   I can’t imagine what might have happened if Erin had gotten her wish to bring our Boxer, Dana, to be in the Video.  We might very well still be there!

Anyway, we were both humbled and shared a good laugh when it was all over! Erin has since begged me to do all our future videos. Oh, and since a few of you have asked, yes, I do tend to misplace my car keys several times a week. 🙂

Driving Directions

Lake Norman Mike :: Lake Norman Real Estate Agent is located on 19901 W Catawba Ave #104 Cornelius.

From Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) head south on Josh Birmingham Pkwy and keep right to continue on Old Dowd Rd.

Then at the traffic circle, take the 1st exit and stay on Old Dowd Rd and turn right onto Marshall Dr. Next, turn left at the 1st cross street onto US-29 S/US-74 W/Wilkinson Blvd and turn left onto the ramp to Interstate 485 Inner N/Spartanburg.

After that use the middle lane to keep left at the fork and follow signs for I-85 S S/Gastonia/Spartanburg/I-485 N Inner N/Statesville.

At this point keep right at the fork, follow signs for Interstate 485 Inner N/Statesville and merge onto I-485 Inner.

Merge onto I-485 Inner and head straight for 11 miles. Then use the right 2 lanes to take exit 23A-B toward Statesville and merge onto I-77 N. Next, take exit 28 to merge onto US-21 S/Catawba Ave and merge onto US-21 S/Catawba Ave.

Finally, turn right onto Knox Rd and turn left onto Nautique Blvd. Turn left onto Knox Road Extension and Lake Norman Mike :: Lake Norman Real Estate Agent will be on your left.
