I am blessed to partner with Mike Toste, aka Lake Norman Mike in beautiful North Carolina.
Shortly after moving to North Carolina and after much persistence on my part, I was introduced to Mike via Jen ( a past client of Mike’s, now a fellow team member). I knew I wanted to work with him since he is one of the finest in the industry. And if there is one thing I know, it’s that you surround yourself around the best in the business, no matter the industry.
Real Estate was not a career that I had on the radar, but several years ago a good friend encouraged me to give it a try and I did. I love Real Estate! I realized it was a natural transition from my old career as a hairstylist to becoming a Realtor. Being a people person and being service oriented, it gave me an ongoing opportunity to build relationships with others and give them a good end result.
Convincing Mike to bring me on his team proved to be a bit more challenging, because there was “no room at the inn”. However, I didn’t let that stop me. I don’t give up easily. Jokingly, I say I persisted to the point where he finally gave in and said “UNCLE”. Mike might say he gave in just so he didn’t have to hear me nag him any longer.
The Lake Norman area is our baby and we love all things Lake Norman. So if weather permits, let’s view properties via boat. It’s a great way to get a feel for the lake and see all the lake has to offer. With 520 miles of shoreline it has plenty to do!
A Note from Mike.
If you’re wanting top dollar for your home, a sign in the front yard, a few Broker open houses and some pictures taken by your agent just doesn’t cut it any more. Make sure you understand how your home is going to be marketed. At an absolute minimum, have your agent do a walk through video tour so you stand out to prospective buyers. Just so you know, I am not referring to the slideshow of photos (i.e. TourFactory, Obeo, Circlepix, etc.) that can be purchased for as little as $49. These tours simply do nothing to differentiate your property from your competition.
Finally, hire someone who has made Real Estate their career, not just a part time job and make sure your listing agreement gives you the right to cancel at any time if you are not completely satisfied. Some may say my ‘tell it like it is’ approach seems a bit harsh, especially if the news is not good. I am simply straightforward and give the news, whether good or bad, and advise you on what needs to be done so your home is SOLD quickly and for the highest possible price.
